Job Description: Rent King is currently seeking a product Delivery Specialist for multiple locations.
Job Objectives: To provide total customer satisfaction and assist in the growth of store by performing the essential job functions described below, including but not limited to: delivery of merchandise to customers, providing merchandise service, returning merchandise, sales support, vehicle maintenance, and keeping the store rent- ready.
Essential Job Functions:
Timely completion of services to customers including delivery of merchandise, service, and return of merchandise.
- Execute delivery and set-up of merchandise at the time requested by the customer
- Return merchandise from customers as requested or scheduled
- Perform customer service calls
- Deliver and return loaner merchandise
- Load and unload merchandise at the store, warehouse, and at customers home as needed
Assist in account management when necessary by visiting the homes of customers with past due accounts in accordance with company policy
Assist in keeping store rent- ready
- Clean, and refurbish merchandise returned from rental to like-new condition to the greatest extent possible to maximize future terms
- Check merchandise for proper operation and advise Store Manager of issues
- Work with store team to keep the entire store clean and organized, to include: vacuuming the floor, dusting and cleaning the merchandise, cleaning the windows and entry doors, keeping the backroom clean, tagged, and organized, and keeping the areas outside the store clean to include the parking lot, sidewalk and dumpster area.
- Set up and assemble merchandise on the showroom floor for proper operation, visual appeal, and organization by product type
- Keep refurbishing cart stocked with supplies and inform manager of needs
- Unload merchandise shipped from vendors and place in according to instructions given by supervisor
Assist in the protection of assets and in loss prevention
- Perform daily and weekly inspections of company vehicles to insure safe operation
- Use the proper equipment and furniture protection pads when moving or transporting merchandise
- Mark all merchandise appropriately to identify as company property
- Insure the security of merchandise at the store and in customers home
- Drive safely and obey all traffic laws
- Insure the security of the vehicle and merchandise loaded on during transport, loading and unloading
Ensure each customer receives total customer satisfaction by helping create a friendly environment, which included greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly; applying product and program knowledge to meet customer needs; and treating every customer and employee with dignity and respect.
- Answer phone when needed with the approval greeting in an enthusiastic fashion
- Handle customer service issues in a timely and effective manner
- Have customer complete any necessary delivery/callback form
- Train customers on the operation of their rental products
- Schedule customer services including delivery, product service, and return of merchandise, and enter it on the planner
Assist in increasing store growth in customers and revenue by distributing sales flyers during field activities, and soliciting referrals from current and prospective customers. Follow all policies, procedures, and performance standards. Perform other duties assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
Skills/Requirements:
- A clean and valid Florida Drivers License
- High school diploma or equivalent;basic reading and math skills; good speaking, listening, and customer skills; ability to follow written instructions; ability to follow diagrams, illustrations, maps, or written instructions in the assembly or installation or merchandise
- Pass drug screen and background check
