Job Description: Rent King is currently seeking a customer Service Representative for multiple locations.
Job Objectives: To provide total customer satisfaction and assist in the growth of store by performing the essential job functions described below, including but not limited to: sales activities; keeping the store rent ready; maintaining accurate customer files and information; taking rental payments.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure each customer receives total customer service by helping to create a friendly environment, which included greeting and acknowledging every customer promptly; assisting with sales and service requests;
- Greet and acknowledge customers
- Answer the phone with the approved greeting enthusiastically
- Assist customers in product decisions both in the store and on the phone
- Take rental orders
- Print rental agreements
- Close rental agreements
- Handle customer service issues in a timely manner
- Schedule customer services properly including delivery, service, returns, schedules on the planner and insure time lines are followed
- Process various transactions through the computer including rental payments, cash sales, early purchase options, and returns
- Assist in delivery callbacks when necessary
- Load carry out merchandise into customer vehicles
- Insure customer understanding of the operation of rental merchandise
Increase sales, customer, and revenues
- Prospect for new business by following the RENT KING sales program
- Perform telemarketing
- Solicit referrals from existing and prospective customers
- Give the store managers suggestions on products and merchandise orders
- Work with the store team to set weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals
Assist in keeping the store rent- ready
- Make and place price tags on merchandise following company policy
- Check merchandise for proper operation
- Work with the store team to keep the store clean and organized, to include: vacuuming the floor;dusting and cleaning merchandise;cleaning the windows and entry door as needed; backroom clean and organized; outside areas clean to include front sidewalk,parking lot and dumpster areas
- Hook up or setup merchandise on the showroom floor
- Use effective merchandising techniques to display merchandise
- maintain the correct P.O.P in the store
Be knowledgeable of all company marketing and merchandising programs
- Learn features and benefits of rental merchandise
- Stay abreast of all current promotions and offers
- Make recommendations to store manager to market product that is idle for more than 90 days
Assist in the protection of company assets
- Receive merchandise in the store
- Transfer merchandise to and from other locations
- Assist in building and maintaining customer files to include all necessary paperwork
- Process paperwork on merchandise returned from rental
- Follow cash handling procedures
- Insure the security of merchandise at the store
- Make all merchandise to identify it as the company's
- Use proper equipment to move rental merchandise and protect it from damage
Assist in limited account manager activities when needed
- Review past due account and prioritize
- Contact customers with past dues accounts and sell timely renewal of the agreements
- Schedule to return of merchandise when needed
- Keep accurate records of all activities taken on past dues accounts
Assist when required with the delivery, return, or service of rental merchandise. Follow all policies, procedures, and company performance standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
Skills/ Requirements:
- A clean and valid Florida Drivers License
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years retail, rental or sales experience; basic reading and math skills; effective speaking, listening, and customer skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
- Pass drug screen and background check.

- Store merchandise; Store vehicles; Computer Terminal; Telephone; Calculator; Hand trucks and tools; Cleaning materials and machines
